We would like to share some of the things special to İzmir with you. In such a full of love, with a whiff of Mediterranean ,beautiful city, of course one should find different tastes.

It would be too ordinary to give you recipies, as they can be found everywhere. But a different taste from İzmir will always remind you of this unique city, maybe will make you miss it.

Have you ever bought “boyoz” and boiled eggs for breakfast or on the way to work? Now you might ask what “boyoz” is. Some kind of pastry, but different. You can have a try when you come to İzmir. But do not forget its name.

Besides, have you ever eaten “söğüş” ? We are sure you will like it when you try it. Shortly, it is boiled lamb head, cold, with salad and spices, with “pide”.

“Kokorec” is another thing you should try. Eaten hot, with bread and spices.

Have you ever tried “kumru”? Like sandwich,but with a diffrerent bred. A different kind of toasted bred, with whatever you like in it.

Another thing is ,sardine fish without the bone,served with bred. Easy,and very tasty.

Icy Almond, a very delicious snack, is sold on ice at Kordonboyu.

These are some tastes special to İzmir. You can find them night and day. At night, while back from the pub, if you feel hungry, you can find these being sold everywhere around the pubs.
